Bow n Arrow model of 'Business n Strategy'

Business Model and Strategy is similar to a 'Bow n Arrow Model' where bow is the business model and arrow is the strategy. The 'Value Chain' acts as a string attached to the bow to put arrow on and the arrow is the strategy that is being followed in order to hit the target (target market). Any lacunae in the string causes a disturbance in the tensile strength of the string and the arrow(the strategy) is not properly fixed to the string to hit the target. The force with which the arrow is shot at the target is the ‘services and the Integrated marketing communication.’
A very interesting point of debate arises out of this model is when you shot an arrow you do it one at a time but when it comes to strategy implementation the business could be following different strategies on different fronts. For instance with a marketing objective of making the brand popular, the advertisement strategy could be 'to create a top of the mind recall'. On the other hand the selling and distribution strategy could be opening your own outlets and not going through the distribution channel.
